Around 150 people from the local community in Bray and north Wicklow attended our Festive Community Lunch in Bray on 4th December - to help us celebrate another year of working together to make a difference in our local communities in Bray and north Wicklow.

The event provided a space for people from community groups, agencies and public representatives to network, share information and make the kind of connections that enable them to work together more collaboratively for the benefit of the whole community.

Those who attended were also able to browse information stands from a range of local services and community groups to find out more about the vital services and supports they provide in the community.

Bray Area Partnership’s chairperson, Councillor Aoife Flynn Kennedy, welcoming those who attended, said: “We are lucky to have such a vibrant community sector in Bray and north Wicklow that works together so well to meet the needs of so many in the local area – including the emerging needs of new friends we have welcomed into our community over the past year”.

Clodagh Whelan from Wicklow County Council then spoke about the new Healthy Age Friendly Homes programme starting in January, and Julie Sammiller gave an input on the Community Climate Action Fund and how community groups can apply.

This community event was delivered under our SICAP programme.
