Our Ukrainian Community Centre for Bray and North Wicklow has been providing a warm and welcoming hub for people from the local Ukrainian community over the past year - a space where people can gather, take part in activities and get one-to-one support, information and advice.
Activities on offer include skills-based training programmes and a wide range of cultural and creative courses and workshops for adults and children - both in the centre in Bray and also in Greystones.
Ongoing activities in the centre include:
- A music and dance group for parents/carers and babies
- Music development for children aged 1-3 (in cooperation with Music Generation Wicklow)
- Children's Club
- Conversational English classes for adults
- 'Singlish' classes - learning English through singing!
- Lady Dance dance classes
Upcoming courses and activities starting in June include:
- Start Your Own Business programme
- Art classes for children aged 4-6
To celebrate its first birthday the centre is also inviting Ukrainian children to get involved in creating a unique map of Ukraine by colouring in their region of Ukraine based on the theme "My year in Ireland".
